i love this time of year. the smell of barbecue and beer and crunchy leaves and hot chocolate. i've been busy enough out here to keep my mind off of the starting school year over seven hundred miles away. . .
. . . but seeing that jumping, shouting, cheering orange in the stands makes me want to put on my Uni, buy some new colored pencils, and show up early to dynamics.
or get up early, find a ride to 4th & Pennsylvania, grab a beer, put a fake tat on my cheek, slip into my blue wig and emerge through the student section tunnel into the stands screaming, "JUICE!!" all the way to my seat.

Were we cheering in that first pic because we got a first down or because Mandy dropped her baton? I can't remember...
Sigh. I love this time of year, too. We didn't have real sports at my school, but fall takes me back to OHS football games . . . and I'm talkin', like, junior high, when we had to sit in that "pen" and I would make out with Pat Kalas and wear his jersey . . . and in general . . . the crunchy leaves, the hot chocolate, the cold air and sweaters and new school supplies and . . . AH. My God it needs to get cool out (it's aboooot 90 here today).
I can't wait for you to come back. I have a new apartment and it's nothing short of amazing.
