Hi folks,
It's been a good long time since we've posted on here. Shame on us!
What's new?
Nothing too crazy honestly. It snowed a bunch in Chicago today.
It was Matt Kula's birthday last night and I went out there and hung out with him and celebrated...and it seems that I have been celebrating a lot this week. From hanging out with old improv friends (but they are still current friends) to hanging out with people from Amanda's work, all of that.
Classes are going well for both of us. Improv is amazing and I'm anxious to keep moving forward and finding something that places me in the city so I can pursue it more.
I'm headed out to Kansas on Tuesday for another ten day jaunt. Last trip highlights: poison ivy, 80 degrees, and ticks. Kansas can be great when its warm, but when it gets too warm all of the ticks and chiggers wake up. And working in the woods with a lot of poison ivy, it almost becomes inevitable that you'll get it. This is, as far as I can recall, the first time I've broken out from it. It's not as bad this guy: YIKES.
It apparently just snowed like a foot there, so it will most likely have all melted by the time we go and be a muddy mess. I love spring.
I'll also be celebrating my birthday out there. I'm not hugely into my birthdays, I never have been, but let me tell you, I'm not looking forward to it. Luckily, a coworkers birthday is on April 1st, so him and I plan to celebrate.
So hard to recap everything that's happened recently. Most importantly, my computer broke and is being sent back to best buy geek quarters for assessment, hopefully they will send me a new computer or most hopingly just send me a credited amount so i can go and buy a new one. So that will happen hopefully sometime in the middle of when I'm in Kansas. Maybe I'll try to throw out a blog about the happenings there via the Super 8 hotel lobby.
I made a new life goal to never eat another cookie. Why torture myself you ask? Because whenever I eat a cookie, I eat 40 cookies. They are my weakness. So I'm staring the beast in the face. Problem is: Super 8 has homebaked cookies that are delicious.
That's all for now.
Kev!n
PS - for a great new blog about film please see: http://pinkstononfilm.blogspot.com This is an old friend of mine who was a cinema studies major who is currently saving the earth reviewing films. Pretty good stuff.

PPS - I hope you are happy Kristen!
Well I was happy until I clicked on that link of the guy with the poison ivy and almost barfed everywhere...thank you for that!
I salute you for your goal to never eat another cookie... I hope you make it but I must tell you I just had the BEST chocolate chip cookie from Max & Erma's it was SOO good.
I would suggest that your goal be 'I will only eat 3, no, let's say 5 cookies' ...just enough to satisfy that craving, but not at all 'cold turkey'...I'm mean, really - who could pass up those special Christmas oreos from Trader Joe's??? think again!!!
Kev,
I knew I wouldn't like what was on the end of that link - but I clicked on it anyway, and then I ralphed in my lap. Thanks bud :|
Also, I'm beginning to hate Kansas. It shouldn't be allowed to eat your birthday like that...
As for the cookies, you might try mentally picturing something really gross should you need to fight a craving - like cigarette butts or Gary Coleman. Cheers!
thanks for the plug, kevin and amanda! (wait, did i just give away your secret identity?)
